"In light of the article in The Chronicle and Echo, we wish to clarify our position and hope to address questions raised by today’s news.
Managing Director Jake Richardson has decided to put The Church up for sale following his father Colin’s decision to retire and his wanting to focus on the family’s property business.
We felt that the first people that we would call should be the couples who have weddings booked with us next year to let them know that although The Church may continue to run exactly as it is running now, it will not be under the ownership of The Richardsons Group. We appreciate that a wedding for most people is not only one of the most important days of their lives but also one of the largest investments and we felt that it was not for us to gamble with those dates and so have fully returned any deposits to the couples that have decided to move venues."
If you've been affected by the decision to sell the Church Restaurant, please do get in touch. We have several dates available for 2019 and wold be willing to try and accomodate your wedding in the style you were planning on.
